TV and Content Head End - Where the TV channels are received and encoded. Also other content (Video's) are stored at Head End. BSNL has signed agreement for this with M/s IOL Broadband.2. Delivery network - Which is BSNL's Broadband network and BSNL's telephone line. (Landline).3. Smart Electronic Device (SED) - The SED is required at the customer location for converting the IP signal back to TV signal. The SED shall be connected between BSNL Broadband Modem and customer's TV. The SED shall be provided by M/s IOL.4. BSNL Landline telephone is required for this service.

THE COMPANY
Smart TV Group, consisting of Smart Broadband Services Pvt Ltd and Smart Digivision Pvt Ltd, was founded in 2007 with the purpose of providing Interactive Video (IPTV) Services. The Group has entered into long-term contracts with MTNL and BSNL for providing co-branded interactive video services to their customers in 54 large cities across India. These cities account for approximately 50% of the urban population, giving Smart TV Group the largest coverage footprint for IPTV services.
The company has signed Agreements to provide IPTV Services to BSNL customers in 53 cities and MTNL in Delhi. The company would be utilizing the existing copper cable network of Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) and Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited (MTNL) for the deployment of the IPTV services in 54 cities across the country. BSNL, a leading Public Sector Company of India, is the largest telecom service provider in India. MTNL is a major telecommunication service provider in Delhi and Mumbai. The IPTV services are to be launched in a phased manner with the objective of achieving a national footprint.
The objective is to provide content based services like IP/broadcast TV channels, Video on Demand (VOD), Audio on Demand, E-Learning, Kids content, interactive gaming, etc by setting up a Content Delivery Network Infrastructure. We have launched trial services in 50 cities including Delhi and NCR. The Pan-India commercial launch is scheduled for Jan 2009. The forecasted customer base for the first year is 1 million and this is expected to scale up to 2 million by 2012.

SeaChange SeaChange is a world leader in VOD systems, bringing with it extensive experience of setting up the largest two-way STB based middleware deployment. SeaChange has been engaged to design the MyWay IPTV middleware system to ensure interoperability of a complete video service operation.Verimatrix The Verimatrix Content Security Manager (CSM) enables and supports all features and options within a VCAS secured pay-TV system and VOD with secure, real-time key distribution for the full spectrum of content services. MyWay IPTV has selected Verimatrix for designing its Digital Rights Management (DRM) System.Cisco Cisco is the world's leading company in providing IP equipment and solutions. MyWay IPTV has chosen Cisco as its IP solution partner for providing video services.

The Digital Rights Management (DRM) System for MyWay has been designed by Verimatrix. The DRM system is used to authorize and de-authorize STB for viewing the protected content. After its first commercial deployment in 2003, Verimatrix has around 43 customers worldwide (10 in SE Asia) with more than 2 million licensed STBs.
Middleware system, which ensures interoperability of a complete video service operation and Video-on-Demand (VoD) system, which allows users to select and watch video and clip content from a video database are from Seachange. It was founded in 1993. It has an installed video server base of over 18,000 servers. Major Deployments include NTL Telewest (UK), Verizon (USA), NTT (Japan).
Set-Top-Box (STB), which decodes the signal coming from the NOC and displays it on the television screen, is from AirTies. AirTies was formed in Feb 2004 by a management and technical team from USA Silicon Valley. As of the end of 2007, AirTies is adding 140,000 new customers every month with total of more than 2.5 million units throughout Turkey.
